What is TwistReader?

TwistReader is a feed reader app designed to help you organize, read, and manage your favorite RSS feeds. It lets you create groups to organize your feeds and focuses on privacy by keeping all data stored locally on your device.

Does TwistReader send any data to the internet?

No. TwistReader is privacy-focused and keeps all your data on your device. Nothing is sent to the internet unless you manually choose to share diagnostic data with me (the developer) for support purposes.

How do I organize my feeds in TwistReader?

wistReader makes it easy to manage your feeds with a flexible grouping system. You can create custom groups based on your interests, such as “Tech News,” “Blogs,” “Podcasts,” or any category you prefer.

To organize your feeds:

  • Add a Feed: When you add a new feed, you can assign it to an existing group or create a new group on the spot.
  • Edit Groups: Easily rename, reorganize, or delete groups as your interests evolve.
  • Tailor Your View: View feeds by group to streamline your reading experience and reduce clutter.

With TwistReader, you easily stay organized, keep track of your favorite sources, and ensure your content is always easy to find.

Will TwistReader support syncing between devices?

Yes! While TwistReader currently stores everything locally, future updates will include iCloud sync, allowing you to sync your feeds seamlessly between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Is my data safe in TwistReader?

Absolutely. All your feed data and reading history are stored securely on your device. By default, your reading history is stored temporarily, and you can configure the retention period between 24 and 120 hours. After this period, the history is automatically deleted. If you want to save articles for longer, TwistReader offers a bookmark group to store your favorite articles permanently. TwistReader does not track your activity or share any information with third parties.

Does TwistReader work offline?

Yes! Since all data is stored on your device, you can read your feeds even when you’re offline.

What makes TwistReader different from other feed readers?

TwistReader focuses on privacy and simplicity. Unlike many other feed readers, it doesn’t track your usage or automatically send data to the cloud. It gives you full control over your data and a clean, organized reading experience.

How can I share feedback or report a problem?

You can manually send feedback or diagnostic data to me from within the app. This ensures you’re always in control of what information is shared.

Is TwistReader free to use?

Yes, TwistReader offers a free tier that supports up to 15 feeds and a maximum of 10 bookmarks. The free tier provides all core features for a great reading experience but does not include iCloud sync between devices.

For users who want more flexibility, TwistReader Plus offers expanded capabilities, including:

  • Unlimited feeds
  • Unlimited bookmarks
  • iCloud sync between iOS, iPad, and macOS devices (coming soon)

With TwistReader Plus, you can unlock the full potential of the app while continuing to enjoy the app’s privacy-first approach.

Will TwistReader support other platforms in the future?

For now, TwistReader is focused on iOS (iPadOS and macOS coming soon). There are no plans to expand to other platforms at this time.
